The Connétable
Thermal Baths

This historical building marks the peak of the La Roche-Posay Hydromineral Company. The first stone was laid in 1927 and the building was inaugurated in 1932, fulfilling the ambition of the directors to provide the resort with a thermal establishment worthy of the name. Facing the Thermal Establishment built in 1905 (now the Pink Pavilion), this "New Thermal Establishment" made it possible to accommodate more spa guests in optimal conditions and to respond to the growing success of the La Roche-Posay thermal cure.

Built in the heart of nature, at the heart of the Thermal Park, on Paradise Hill,
this building offers a unique setting for a thermal cure.

In 1958, a service specifically dedicated to children was built. In 1981, the New Thermal Establishment was renamed Thermes du Connétable (The Constable's Thermal Baths) in homage to Bertrand Duguesclin, Constable of France and military advisor to the King, who was behind the discovery of the beneficial properties of La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water in 1369.

The Thermes du Connétable is currently undergoing extensive renovations.

Having undergone renovations in the 1990s, the Thermes du Connétable is now benefiting from a large-scale modernization project. These enhancements include a complete refurbishment of the reception hall and treatment wings, the addition of a welcoming café space, reconstruction of the rear building, improved reception and waiting areas, and an enhanced work environment for staff. The result is nearly 4,000 square meters dedicated to the care of all skin conditions.

This ambitious project also encompasses the modernization of all thermal equipment. Cutting-edge features like needle showers, aerated baths, facial and body sprays, and massages under thermal water affusion have been redesigned and custom-developed, placing the facility at the forefront of the thermal industry. The Children's service and the Stomatology service have also been entirely renovated.

This significant modernization ensures that the dermatological benefits of La Roche-Posay thermal spring water will continue to be offered to current and future generations. The establishment is distinguished by the expertise of its thermal doctors and staff, the advanced technology of its equipment, the quality of its welcoming atmosphere, and its comfortable and friendly environment – all designed to provide an increasingly effective and restorative thermal experience.
