La Roche-Posay Thermal Spa - (Eczema) Parent and Child Testimonial
La Roche-Posay Thermal Spa Logo
[The video opens with soft piano music. We see aerial views of the La Roche-Posay Thermal Spa buildings with the logo centered on the screen, then the interview begins...]

[The question “Introduce yourself” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, along with the child's first name, “ANYA.”]

ANYA: "My name is Anna. I've been coming to La Roche-Posay for treatment for 7 years. I come for my eczema, and I'm 13 years old. "

[We meet Freddy, Anya’s dad, who answers the same question]
[The question “Introduce yourself” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, with the parent’s first name “FREDDY”.]
[Freddy speaks]

Freddy (the dad): “Hello, I’m Anya’s dad. My name is Freddy, and I’m 54 years old.”
[The question “Why did you choose this spa resort for your children?” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, with the parent’s first name “FREDDY.”]
[Freddy speaks]
So, I chose La Roche-Posay because my mom came here for eczema a very long time ago, back in the ’80s, when she was covered in eczema from head to toe and was being treated with cortisone. And it as here in La Roche-Posay that, very quickly, after several treatments, she ended up with almost nothing left. Today, she has almost no symptoms left and doesn’t need treatments anymore. So, I didn’t want to take any risks with my daughter when they started wanting to treat her
[A visual of the full-body and facial showers appears]
[Anya speaks]
ANYA: “It’s in a booth with lots of jets. And then there’s the facial shower: it’s like a sink, and water sprays over your head. And then, my favorite part is the bubble bath.”
[The question “What benefits do you expect from your child’s first treatment?” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, along with the parent’s first name, “FREDDY.”]
[Freddy speaks]
Freddy: “Well, I hope she feels less self-conscious about the eczema she had, because it’s not easy for kids to deal with each other. She’s getting back to a point where she can look at herself in the mirror without being afraid of how others see her, which worked very quickly, right from the first year.”
[The question “How do you handle your child’s stay at the treatment center?” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, along with the parent’s first name, “FREDDY.”]
[Freddy speaks]
"So, we try to plan our trip either during summer break, or during the April break—or sometimes we take advantage of the long weekends in May that fall one after another, which means the kids only miss two days of school. Well, either I manage to arrange some time off, or my wife and I take turns... and so we plan around that so everyone can spend a little time together as a family. We manage to do it as a family by organizing things this way.”
[The question “What do you do outside of therapy?” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, along with the child’s first name, “ANYA.”]
[Anya speaks]
ANYA: “Before, I used to go to activities with Christelle. We did the ‘creaming’ activity to learn how to put cream on ourselves.”
[The question “What do you do outside of treatment?” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, along with the parent’s first name “FREDDY”.]
[Freddy speaks]
Freddy: “How can we get the mind to think about something other than scratching so we don’t scratch until it bleeds?”
[Image appears of a boy and a girl around ten years old with eczema on the inside of their elbows]
[Freddy speaks]

Freddy: “by using cold stones, etc.”
[The question “What do you do outside of treatment?” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, along with the parent’s first name, “FREDDY.”]
[Freddy speaks]
Freddy: “So, there are workshops”
[Visual of two or three girls between the ages of 5 and 9 applying La Roche-Posay cream to their bodies]
[Visual of a boy aged 7 or 8 applying La Roche-Posay cream to his neck]
[Freddy speaks]
Freddy: “which are also designed to keep children occupied, starting with the very little ones, by Christelle, and which also teach them how to apply the cream because it’s not necessarily easy for a child.”
[The question “What do you do outside of treatment?” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, along with the child’s first name “ANYA”.]
[Anya speaks]
ANYA: “And now, I go to ASAVIE (a recognized public interest association that helps sick children) and we do lots of arts and crafts. We stuck stamps on a box, and today we’re doing the cooking workshop. We’re going to cook for snack time.”

[The question “What do you do in your free time?” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, along with the parent's first name, “FREDDY.”]
[Freddy speaks]
Freddy: "So, our free time... There are plenty of hikes to go on in the area for those who love hiking. Um, the tourist office also organizes a lot of evening events. There are concerts—more so in the summer than during the off-season—but they do organize concerts. There’s Futuroscope, which isn’t far away, and Angles-sur-l’Anglin, which is a very pretty place to visit. So, for those who love walks, hikes, and nature... There’s plenty to do, whether organized by the tourist office or on your own, in a region that’s truly rich with castles, riverbanks, and so on. So, there’s really plenty to keep you busy if you love life and nature. »
[The question “Do you have any advice to give?” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, along with the child’s first name, “ANYA”.]
[Anya speaks]
Anna: “[You should] go because it really does you good, and over time you regain your self-confidence because you have far fewer eczema flare-ups for the rest of the year.
[The question “Do you have any advice to share?” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, along with the parent’s first name, “FREDDY”.]
[Freddy speaks]

Freddy: “We also learn to accept ourselves as we are because there are other people here getting treatment for different conditions. It could be burns, it could be… so people don’t look at us the same way.”
[Aerial view of the Connétable thermal baths building appears]
[Freddy speaks]
Freddy: “Um, it’s healthy; it’s just water—it’s beneficial, it’s relaxing.”
[The question “Are you satisfied with the care provided?” appears in the bottom right corner of the video, along with the parent’s first name, “FREDDY.”]
[Freddy speaks]
Freddy: “I’m very satisfied. They’re very kind to us. They explain clearly what we need to do. It’s very family-oriented. A spa treatment that’s very family-oriented.”

[The video ends with aerial views of the town of La Roche-Posay and the logo on a white background]
